Research art is an important stage of a children's animated show production.  It happens after writing, but before storyboards, design and animation.  With the episode script and input from the writers and show creators, I illustrate digital storybooks that are read aloud to preschoolers during field testing.  Based on their responses and feedback, the writing team will make changes to the script and I will revise my artwork to match.  After the second round of testing, the research team makes recommendations to the writers and creators before the script goes to the storyboard department.
